Podravka Share Surges by 9% Intraday

PODR ended the trading day with an increase of 3.92%.

Friday market another quite active trading day on the ZSE with equity turnover reaching HRK 34.64m. Of that, block trade (ERNT) amounted for HRK 13.85m. Meanwhile, CROBEX constituents noted a turnover of HRK 18.8m, with Podravka being by far the most traded share (HRK 10.9m).

Podravka’s share was definitely in spotlight on Friday, with the share witnessing a intraday increase of as much as 9%, reaching HRK 724 per share. The share however closed the trading day below the HRK 700 mark, ending the day with a 3.92%. At the current share price (HRK 690) the company is traded at a P/E of 9.1x and EV/EBITDA of 17.2x.

In the past month, the company’s share has increased by as much as 15%, while Mesna Industrija Braća Pivac, the majority owner of Kraš, has entered the top 10 shareholders. To be specific, MI Braća Pivac currently owns a 3.18% stake in Podravka, making it the 8th largest shareholder.

Turning our attention to CROBEX, the index noted a solid increase of 1.24% on Friday, thus breaching the 2,000 point mark.

Trading Activity on LJSE – September 2021

Trading statistics for September 2021 demonstrate an average daily turnover of EUR 1.12m (+3.7% MoM). Meanwhile, SBITOP ended the month with a decrease of 2.28%, concluding the month at 1,166.68 points.

The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) published its trading statistics for September 2021, recording an equity turnover of EUR 22.49m. This converts into an average daily turnover of EUR 1.12m (+3.7% MoM).

Of the total turnover traded in the period (excluding block turnovers), Krka generated 44.03%, followed by NLB with 11.08%. Next come Luka Koper with 9.63% and Telekom Slovenija with 8.68%. Sava Re follows with 7.05%. These 5 shares generated 80% of the turnover recorded by the entire (equity) market excluding block turnovers.

When observing the total equity market capitalization, it observed a 1% MoM decrease (or EUR 120m), and currently amounts to EUR 8.87bn.

The main equity index of LJSE observed a decrease of 2.28% MoM, ending September at 1,166.68 points. Of the SBITOP constituents, one can observe that virtually all heavy weights ended the month in red, with the exception of NLB Group. To be specific, Krka recorded a decrease of 0.45%, followed by Telekom Slovenije with 5.59% decrease. Sava Re recorded an increase of 6.25% and Luka Koper recorded the largest decrease of 7.69% ending the month at EUR 24 per share.

On the flip side, NLB Group observed an increase of 4.31%, ending the month at EUR 72.6 per share.

Trading Activity on BELEX in September 2021

In September BELEX15 index recorded a decrease of 0.27% and ended the month at 802.81 points.

In September, the Belgrade Stock Exchange reported a turnover of EUR 1.3m (when observing solely equity), which would translate to an average daily turnover of EUR 58.5k.

The most traded share was Komercijalna banka (pref.) with a turnover of EUR 315.44k. NIS comes next with EUR 283k, followed by Komercijalna banka (regular) and Metalac with EUR 164.29k and EUR 89.7k, respectively.

When observing gainers of the BELEX15 index, Komercijalna banka (pref.) recorded the highest increase of 60%, followed by Messer Tehnogas with a 2.95% increase. Komercijalna banka (regular) comes next with an increase of 2.70%. On the flip side, Energoprojekt holding has dropped by 11.84%, followed by Alfa plam and ALTA banka with a decrease of 8.81% and 5.75%, respectively.

BELEX15 index recorded a decrease of 0.27% and ended the month at 802.81 points.
