Triglav Recieves a Dividend Counterproposal of EUR 2.8 DPS

At the current share price, dividend yield would be 8%.

Triglav published a document in which they state that their shareholder, Zavod VZMD, made a counterproposal on the initial dividend payout. Zavod VZMD proposed a dividend payout of EUR 63.7m to be paid out to the shareholders from the 2018 net profit. This would translate into a dividend of EUR 2.8 per share. At the current share price, the dividend yield would be 8%.

Note that the Management Board of Triglav opposes the counterproposal and state that they support the initially proposed EUR 2.5 dividend per share. The Management Board states that this takes into account the three aspects laid down by the adopted dividend policy of the Company, which was revised in 2018. The key focus is on the medium-term sustainable target capital adequacy, the credit rating and ensuring the financial stability of Triglav. They further state that their proposal allows the Company to implement the growth and development strategy of Triglav Group and at the same time to pay out attractive dividends to the shareholders.

In the graphs below, we are bringing you a historical overview of the company’s dividend per share and dividend yield, including the newly counterposed dividend.
