Trading statistics for September 2020 show an average daily turnover of EUR 1.1m (-4.6% YoY). Meanwhile, SBI TOP ended the month with a 0.32% decrease.
The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) published their trading statistics for September 2020, showing a somewhat lower equity turnover compared to previous months of EUR 24.33m. This translates into an average daily turnover of EUR 1.1m (-4.6% YoY).
Of the total value traded in the period (excluding block transactions), Krka generated EUR 7.9m (or 35%), followed by Petrol with EUR 4.5m (or 19.7%). Next come Sava Re with EUR 3.2m (or 13.9%) and Cinkarna Celje with EUR 2.2m (or 9.5%). Triglav follows with EUR 1.74m or (7.7%). These 5 shares generated 86% of the turnover recorded by the entire (equity) market.
When observing the total equity market capitalization, it observed a 2.6% MoM decrease (or EUR 172.6m) and currently amounts to EUR 6.36bn.
In September, the Slovenian equity market observed a slight decline with SBI TOP ending the month in red (-0.32%) ending at 846.20 points. This is the 4th time this year that the index ended the month in red. Note that SBI TOP is still down by 8.63% on a YTD basis, which is still the lowest decrease compared to all other regional indices. Of the SBI TOP constituents, Petrol observed the highest share price performance of +12%, which could be attributed to the liberalization of retail fuel prices in Slovenia, which s were up until now regulated.
