Končar (KET) and Končar(GIM) signed a contract with HEP Generation for the replacement of primary equipment in the main HPP Senj. The contract on replacement of primary equipment in HPP Senj covers all three units (A, B and C). It includes replacement of the generator, excitation system and voltage regulator, replacement of turbines, turbine governors and turbine-inlet valves, replacement of generator voltage equipment, as well the connection of all units, newly installed systems and equipment into one functional unit.

The works will commence in 2022 and will be completed in 2026.

The contract is worth HRK 330m, and it will be performed as part of the HPP Senj reconstruction and refurbishment project which will increase the power plant’s power by 20 MW.
