In case of the sheets of Romanian origin, produced by Alro, the requested anti-dumping tariff, proposed to be assessed by the US Department of Commerce, was reduced from 56.22% to 12.51%.
Following up on Alro receiving petition on anti-dumping tariffs claims, the company published an update on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
As a reminder, Alro received a notification from the United States International Trade Commission about the fact that a petition for establishing anti-dumping tariffs for certain aluminium products originated from 18 countries, including Romania, imported in United States between 2017 and 2019.
The notification was modified by the authors of the claim, following the submission of the questionnaires with information about the status of the exports in the United States by the companies targeted by the antidumping tariffs and following the interaction with the United States International Trade Commission .
In case of the products of Romanian origin, subject of the antidumping investigation and produced by Alro S.A., the requested antidumping tariff, alleged by the petitioners to be assessed by the US Department of Commerce, was reduced by them from 56.22% to 12.51%.
The Company noted that they intend to defend in continuation vigorously its position in front of the American authorities involved.
