The value of last week’s taxable invoices in Croatia (28 Jun – 4 Jul 2021) increased by 19% YoY, reaching HRK 4.64bn.
The weekly data issued by the Croatian Tax Administration, a department of the Ministry of Finance stated that the total value of taxable invoices issued last week is down by 1.6% (or HRK 77.6m) compared to the same period in 2019, reaching HRK 4.6bn. However, it is encouraging to see that the value of invoices is up 19% when compared to the same week in 2020.
Increase in taxable invoices in wholesale and retail trade in the same period was up by 10.3%, while compared to the same week in 2019, value of invoices is actually up by 2%.
Meanwhile, the value of taxable invoices for the accommodation and food services activities increased by 54.5% YoY (HRK 283m) to 803.764m. The value of invoices is still significantly lower when comparing them to the same period in 2019; -15.2% to be specific (or HRK 143.75m).
In June BET increased by 3.87% YoY, closing at 11,873.03 points.
The Bucharest Stock Exchange continued its positive sentiment in June, with BET noting a MoM increase of 3.87% (closing at 11,873.03 points). The total equity turnover in June 2021 reached EUR 140.7m, which translates into an average daily turnover of EUR 7.04m.
Banca Transilvania noted the highest turnover in June of RON 227.7m, followed by the Teraplast with total turnover of RON 103.6m and OMV Petrom with total turnover of RON 79.3m.
When observing the index constituents, 12 of 17 ended the month in green, 4 of them observed a double-digit monthly increase. As in May, MedLife leads the list once again with an increase of as much as 23.2%. Teraplast follows with an increase of 17.1% and Purcari Wineries with 13.4% monthly increase. On the flip side, Conpet leads the losers with a decrease of 6.8%.
