Telekom Slovenije Established a Subsidiary SIOL Prishtina

According to a statement released on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, Telekom Slovenije has established a new subsidiary in Kosovo with the purpose of an integrated management of the regional optic fiber network.

Such a move comes after the company recently announced their intention to sell their existing Kosovo subsidiary IPKO Telecommunications. As a reminder, the sale process is at an early stage and has yet to enter the indicative bids phase. The decision to sell IPKO is in accordance with Telekom Slovenije’s strategy for the 2019–2023 period, which also includes the possibility of further consolidation through expansion or disinvestment in the markets where the group operates.
