The Croatian regulator for network industries released a statement in which they announced the postponement of the deadline for 5G spectrum allocation from the end of 2020 to the first half of 2021. The regulator cited the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the measures adopted to fight the pandemic on social and economic activities as the reason for the postponement.
More information on the new deadline regarding public auction will be published by HAKOM after reviewing all new circumstances that may influence the allocation of this spectrum and the public discussion.
In terms of how this might impact HT, the influence is rather benign as HT has already been preparing to for the spectrum allocation. However, note that they haven’t publicly stated the expected size of their investment thus far.
