Luka Ploče’s Performance to be Affected by the Closure of Aluminij Mostar

Note that in 2018, 50% of the revenue of the company was related to the business with Aluminij Mostar.

Luka Ploče published an announcement regarding the newly emerged situation by closure of production in Aluminij Mostar. The company notes that the closing of production in Mostar factory, which occurred on 10 July 2019, will have a significant impact on the company’s operations.

It is noteworthy that the Mostar factory has informed Luka Ploče that they won’t be able anymore to fulfill contractual obligations.

Luka Ploče further states that in 2018, 50% of the revenue of the company was related to the business with Aluminij Mostar, and total quantity of goods loaded in a port directly or indirectly linked to Aluminum was 233,000 tons.  

As a reminder, earlier this week, Energia Naturalis has announced a takeover bid for Luka Ploče at HRK 412 per share. The mentioned takeover bid, came as a result of the regulatory requirement, as Energia Naturalis has passed the 25% threshold and currently holds 25.62% of the shares of Luka Ploče.
