In Q1, the company reported an increase in sales of 3%, increase in EBITDA of 3% and a net profit increase of 129% YoY.
Intereuropa published their Q1 2021 results, according to which sales reached EUR 39.6m, increasing by 3%. Such a result is 4% higher than the plan. In terms of absolute value, the intercontinental transport business line recorded the sharpest increase YoY. The land transport segment generated EUR 20.2m in sales revenue, representing an increase of 1% YoY.
When looking at sales by country, Slovenia, which accounts for 68% of total sales, noted an increase of 4% YoY. The highest relative increase was observed in Bosnia and Herzegovina (+16 YoY). Nearly all Group companies, except the subsidiaries in Ukraine, Serbia and Montenegro exceeded planned results.
On the operating expenses side, cost of goods materials and services reached EUR 29.1m, representing a increase of 4% YoY. Meanwhile, labour costs remained relatively flat at EUR 7m.
In Q1 2021, EBITDA amounted to EUR 3.1m, which was 27% higher than planned and and 3% YoY higher. Such a result puts EBITDA margin at 7.9% (flat YoY). Going further down the P&L, operating profit reached EUR 1.49m, representing an increase of 31% YoY.
In Q1 of 2021, the company reported a net profit of EUR 1.2m, representing an increase of 129% YoY. Such a result puts ROE at 3.8% (+0.8 p.p. YoY).
