Trading statistics for January 2021 show an average daily turnover of EUR 1.46m (-21% YoY). Meanwhile, SBI TOP ended the month with a solid increase of 4.2%.
The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) published their trading statistics for January 2021, showing a somewhat lower equity turnover compared to the previous month of EUR 29.23m. This translates into an average daily turnover of EUR 1.46m (-21% YoY).
Of the total value traded in the period (excluding block transactions), Krka generated EUR 12.32m (or 47.5%), followed by NLB Group with EUR 3.1m (or 11.9%). Next come Petrol with EUR 2.94m (or 11.3%) and Sava Re with EUR 2m (or 7.7%). Triglav follows with EUR 1.65m or (7.7%). These 5 shares generated 85% of the turnover recorded by the entire (equity) market.
When observing the total equity market capitalization, it observed a 3.6% MoM increase (or EUR 250m) and currently amounts to EUR 7.17bn.
The main equity index of LJSE observed a very solid 4.4% monthly increase, ending January at 940.01 points. Of the SBITOP constituents, Luka Koper leads the list with an increase of 10.9%. The company’s share price closed January at EUR 20.4 per share, which puts it at a EV/EBITDA of 5.5x. Sava Re and Telekom Slovenije follow, with a solid increase of 7% and 6%, respectively. Krka, as the index heavyweight showed also a solid performance of 4.2%.
In January, arguably the biggest news on the market was Petrol’s acquisition of 100% stake in Crodux. Following the transaction, the market share of the Petrol Group in Croatia will increase from 13% to 23%. To read more about the acquisition click here.
