OMV Petrom Expands its Stations Network for Electric Vehicles in Europe

OMV Petrom expands its recharging station’s network for electric vehicles in South-Eastern Europe.

OMV Petrom, the largest energy company in Southeast Europe has announced the expansion of its recharging stations for electric vehicles in Moldova and Serbia, in Petrom and OMV filling stations. This will make OMV Petrom the 1st company in the region with a network of recharging stations in four South-Eastern European countries.

Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Serbia are going to be connected by the end of 2022 through a network of around 100 fast and ultra-fast recharging stations. The fast-charging stations ensure that 80% of the battery is recharged in about 40 minutes, while the ultra-fast ones reduce this time to around 20 minutes.

With this expansion, by the end of 2022, the Company’s regional network will have around 15% of recharging stations. By 2030, the Company will offer approx. 500 stations with alternative solutions for mobility such as electro-mobility, gas mobility such as LNG and CNG, and hydrogen.
